Sony Xperia Play Duo is a Jelly Bean PlayStation Phone

Imagine the PS Vita combined with the HTC One X… and you get something like the Xperia Play Duo concept, shown below. Remember when Victor Cao teased us with an upcoming concept? It’s been weeks since then, but he delivered and here we are with a new PlayStation Phone or an “Xperia Play 2″, if you want.

Victor says that the name “Duo” comes from the fact you can control both sides of the phone, front and back. The back area is basically a touchpad, just like on the PS Vita. Xperia Play Duo seems to have an upper and lower transparent surface, in the areas where you grip the handset for gaming purposes. As far as specs go, you get a 1.6 GHz quad core Krait CPU, 2 GB RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, a 4.6 inch HD touchscreen with anti glare and BE 2. Stereo speakers are also on board, as well as multiplayer support and a 3000 mAh battery.
This Xperia concept runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it has PlayStation certification, Clear Bass, Clear Audio and an 8 megapixel camera with Full HD video. One touch NFC, Miracast and 32 GB of storage round up the specs list. Xperia Play Duo will also resist water, apparently. Ready to trade your console for a phone?

Sony Xperia X Concept is Basically a Piece of Glass

The designer Frank Tobias has been the author of some of the prettiest Sony Xperia concepts I’ve seen over the past years and now he has a new project. Meet the Sony Xperia X, pictured below and previously rumored on all big sites. This is supposed to be the next big flagship from Sony and a device that will be a gamechanger.

There are no specs to go with it, but you can see a very beautiful facade, that’s not interrupted by any buttons or design elements. The earpice is the only disturbance here, other than that we have a perfect glass slate. The screen also looks like an edge to edge affair, even extending to the sides on what looks like two levels of thickness. I expect a metallic ring around the Xperia X and I also expect PlayStation Certification, a quad core CPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 16 megapixel next gen Cybershot camera, if possible.
I’d like the cool new Walkman player with that cool visualizer from the Sony Xperia Tablet S to be present and I wouldn’t mind having a 4.6 inch 1280 x 768 pixel display with Bravia tech on board. 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot would make it perfect, as well as LTE and NFC. What more you could want from the device? I know, a thickness less than 8.5 mm!

Samsung Galaxy Note X LTE Version: 6.3 Inch Phablet is Back With Full Specs This Time

Remember the Samsung Galaxy Note X concept? Well, we’ve received another email from its creator, uva7 dance, showing us an upgraded version, the Samsung Galaxy Note X LTE. This new device is a 6.3 inch phablet with a Super AMOLED Plus 1080p display, that offers 350 dpi, way above the Retina Display level.

Full Specs This Time
Galaxy Note X LTE also features 4 GB of RAM, which doesn’t sound crazy at all, seeing how a Samsung prototype with 3GB of RAM was leaked recently. The CPU in this case is a quad core 2 GHz Cortex A15 chipset and other specs include 64/128 GB of ROM, a microSDXC with support for up to 128 GB of extra storage. At the back there’s a 13 megapixel camera with 1080p 60 fps video capture and at the front there’s a 2 megapixel camera, once again with Full HD capture at 30 fps this time.
Finally, powering the monster up is a 4000 mAh battery. All of these specs are crammed into a 8.9 mm thick device, that’s 84.9 mm wide and 161.9 mm long. I have to be honest here and say that I liked the first Galaxy Note better than the Note 2, especially since I like more squared devices, rather than rounded ones.
