Shelby Supercars Tuatara Aims at the Next Speed Record

Shelby Supercars Tuatara aims at being one of the future record breaking supercars, when it comes to speed. This vehicle comes with extreme specifications and took the name Tuatara from a New Zealand reptile that’s a descendent of dinosaurs.

In the Maori language, this means “peaks on the back”, a feat that’s shown by the design of the Tuatara, through the tiny wings on the back of the new car. SSC’s new car has a body made entirely of carbon fiber and the chassis and wheels will be made from the same material. The engine is twin turbo V8 (7 liter), that generates 1,350 horsepower, enough to make a Bugatti jealous.
Shelby Supercars Tuatara uses a triple disc carbon clutch, 7 speed manual H-Patter or 7 Speed SMG Paddle Shift. I’d love to see it during a Top Gear show, being tested against the Veyron.

Citroen Metronest, Electric Car Inspired by Birds Nest Design Loading ... Citroen Metronest is a graduation project of Sangmin Lee, a student of the Korean Hong-ik University. His idea is influenced by the looks of a bird’s nest and the result is a Citroen concept that runs on electric power.

The bird’s nest is based on safety and resilience, as it uses natural materials such as twigs, grass and leaves. Don’t expect these to be included in the car, but the concept remains the same. This concept focuses on protection ventilation and heat regulation, in other words the comfort of the rider and passengers.
The body structure of the Citroen Metronest involves multiple layers of elastic elements and an irregular branching system. The electric motor and radiator grille are placed in the left section, while the one on the right will include the batteries. Citroen was chosen as the brand, since it’s considered the most advanced in design by Sangmin Lee.
How do you like this asymmetrical concept?

Porsche 929 Concept is a 4 Seater Electric Car

Created by designer Julliana Cho, the Porsche 929 concept is an electric 4 seater vehicle with great comfort. The fluid design continues the Porsche legacy, but certainly better than the ugly Panamera did.

Julliana imagines this Porsche concept as a community vehicle, that you share with other members of a car club. They can access the car from a certain docking station that involves a rotating parking structure. This ride uses gullwing doors and measures 4900mm in length, 1270mm in height and has a 2900mm in wheelbase.
It’s very interesting to have the wheels covered only partially by a segment of the car reminding me of that Audi concept from the movie I, Robot, although that R8 I believe had wheels covered completely.
