iPhone 7 Concept with iOS 10 Rendered With USB Type C Port and Borderless Display (Video)

Today we have an excellent concept phone for you and simply because it’s highly detailed and includes both fresh hardware and software. It’s the iPhone 7 with iOS 10, rendered by iPhone-Tricks.com and they do have quite a few tricks up their sleeves.
iPhone 7 concept iOS 10 1
The handset comes with an USB Type C port and a borderless screen, what people like to call an edge to edge display. This render involves an OLED panel with a 5.4 inch diagonal and a resolution of 2048 x 1080 pixels. The physical homescreen button has been integrated within the screen and responds to the movement in the lower area of the handset.
iPhone 7 concept iOS 10 2
iOS 10 now shows icons in two sizes and once you swipe down on an icon, you will see more info about it, sort of like a widget. Back to the phone, it sports the Apple A10 processor, M10 motion coprocessor and Dolby Surround speakers. iOS 10 also offers the option to expand the number of apps within your dock area. From what I can see in the video below, swiping on the virtual Home button lets you move between messages or even trigger apps in a very intuitive fashion.
Some excellent ideas here, so expect Apple to borrow them.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 2 Rendered With Angular Bottom Area

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge didn’t get a follow up last year, but we did get the much appreciated Galaxy S6 Edge+. Well, although odds are very small, there’s still a chance we may see a new Note Edge. Created by MajkSmith, the Galaxy Note Edge 2 is pictured below.
galaxy note edge 2 concept
The Home button is atypical for Samsung, because it’s shaped like a rectangle and doesn’t have that shiny area around it. The bottom portion is angular and feels like it’s slimmer on the edges and thicker in the middle, towards the microUSB port area. I can’t tell of this handset has both edges curved or not, but that’s very likely.
If Samsung would be looking to kickstart the Note Edge series again, they may as well experiment by including a projector on board, into the angular area that I have a feeling is much longer at the back, extended from that port piece.

Cartier Millenaire is an Elegant Phone Concept, Created by Faisal Semari

Following up on his very elegant concepts of a Motorola phone , designer Faisal Semari has envisioned a Cartier luxury handset. It’s called Cartier Millenaire and pictured below. The form factor isn’t very different from the other renders made by this designer.
Cartier Millenaire concept phone 4
This model is supposed to be both fashionable and sophisticated and for now these are preliminary shots of the model. The Cartier concept phone looks a lot like a piece of jewelry, a makeup kit, or something else in the same range and area. One of the images reveals, that this is a bit of a flip phone, since there’s a very slim part that can be lifted.
Cartier Millenaire concept phone 2
It looks like a leaf and has its very own display. If I were to describe this form factor to anyone, I’d say it mimics a futuristic spaceship of sorts. I’m guessing that since this is a luxury device, it may well be adorned with rare metals, jewels and maybe exotic wood and crocodile skin.

Lumia One concept is the Ultimate Minimalistic Phone

The creation of Ronan Hand from Ireland, Lumia One is a concept phone that aims at changing the typical Lumia format. This is supposed to be a minimalistic flagship, that’s all screen at the front.
Lumia One concept 1
It’s rendered using SolidWorks, Keyshot and Sketch Book and has no ports or buttons, only a single switch used for screen locking purposes. The handset is supposed to “click together”, acting as a Home button and it uses induction charging and wireless headphones, in order to get rid of ports. Lumia One has a truly edge to edge display, or better said a wraparound screen, covering the sides too.
Lumia One concept 2
This slab of glass can be tucked into an aluminum body shell, that hosts the wireless charging part and “Home button”. Specs include a Super AMOLED screen panel, a 30 megapixel camera and an octa core processor. The screen we mentioned is omnidirectional, meaning that it can scroll content vertically or horizontally in all directions.

Apple Car Concept Video Feels Mysterious Like a Teaser

The Apple Car is already getting hyped up a lot, although we’re at least 4 years away from it, or maybe more. Designer Luca Wrede envisioned a concept of this vehicle and it looks like the model in the video below. Everything is kept mysterious and in the shades.
Apple car concept Luca Wrede 1
The car comes with Apple Watch and iPhone integration, has a massive front grille and Apple Maps, Siri and Safari are a huge part of the experience. The designer sees 2020 as the year when this model will be ready. It feels very much like a Bentley or a Lexus, or some other massive luxury car. We’re guessing carbon fiber is in the mix and the fact we get such a huge instrument panel with a touch display and no wheel clearly shows this is a self driving car.
Apple car concept Luca Wrede 2
The Apple Car gets its very own app ecosystem, the best in LED headlights, cameras, radars and sonars to keep accidents at bay. Siri may evolve into an AI by them and let you query it with anything you want and even order stuff on the go. Meals will be prepared at restaurants and picked up in the car, auto vallet features will also be available and more.
Those are all my speculations of course…

Designer Imagines a Sexier Microsoft All in One Desktop

Microsoft successfully entered the notebook business last year, debuting the hot Surface Book, with an excellent design and performance to put a MacBook to shame. Now I wouldn’t be surprised if they made their own PC. Till that happens we have a concept of such a device.
Microsoft-surface-desktop-pro-design-by-Aziz-belkharmoudi1
The creation of Aziz BelKharmoudi, this device is very stylish and aims at being more impressive visually than a Mac. It’s rendered with Windows 10 in mind, a very flat keyboard and mouse, plus an ultra small dock-looking area, that has the display attached to it. The screen is obviously very slim and hidden behind the panel is a series of ports, including a few USBs, audio jacks, Ethernet port and more.

I have to say I’m more impressed with the keyboard and Surface “touchpad” than the actual PC, because the angular design may turn off some of the buyers. One of the best aspects about this all in one PC is the huge speaker upfront with Dolby tech and very small speaker holes.

4 inch iPhone 2016 Model Leaks Out in Hands on Video; Could This be the iPhone 6c? (Video)

We don’t only deal with concepts or prototypes here, but also with leaks, such as the one below, one of the biggest we’ve seen in recent history. It has to do with a 2016 generation of 4 inch iPhone, that may well be the iPhone 6c or iPhone 7c.
4 inch iPhone 2016 leak 1
The handset was somehow caught on camera straight out of a Foxconn plant and published on the interwebs by Micgadget, which is a reliable source. What we’re dealing with here is basically a 4 inch iPhone 6 version, that keeps its design format, metal chassis and even some specs. This model is said to have 1.2 GB of RAM, an Apple A8 CPU and a 1624 mAh battery.
4 inch iPhone 2016 leak 2
8 GB of storage are included and possibly an 8 megapixel camera. This is not your average cardboard or plastic mockup, but rather a real phone, made of metal and glass, so it’s the real deal! You can see the metal texture of the back and the glass screen with smudges on it. I’m very surprised that Apple hasn’t reacted yet, since it’s been 12 hours since the leak happened. What do you think of the potential iPhone 6c?

HTC One M10 Receives New Design Approach from Vuk Nemanja Zoraja (Video)

The clock is ticking before the HTC One M10 launches and apparently that won’t go down at MWC 2016 next month. Instead we’re supposed to expect it in March, but before that a good old concept is here, created by Vuk Nemanja Zoraja. There’s also a video below, showcasing the same render in 3D, courtesy of Mesut G designs.
HTC One M10 concept january 2016 1
The designer relied on Keyshot, AutoCAD 2012 and some leaks to create this model. It has a 2.5D glass front, with rounded edges, a prominent top and bottom, a bit too shiny for my taste and quite big volume and power buttons. The dual front speakers are still present, complete with BoomSound and Dolby tech and this model seems to have a bit of a leather texture going on at the lower front side, unless my eyes have gone bad.
HTC One M10 concept january 2016 2
The back is matte and gray and the texture of that area doesn’t quite feel like metal, which would be odd for a HTC flagship. However, if a plastic material is used, this lets us remove the battery. Anyway, I’m sure that 2 or 3 things will be kept on the real HTC One M10, like the metal frame and rounded front side edges, plus speakers.

Nokia C9 Rendered by Jermaine Smit, With Various Back Textures (Video)

The rebirth of Nokia is imminent, as shown by the trio of phones leaked here, but still there are quite a few months left till their handsets come. Till that happens we’ve got the fresh Nokia C9 render from Jermaine Smit, shown below.
Nokia C9 Jermaine Smit concept 1
The Nokia C9 concept comes with a rear side with a leather/rubber-like texture, while the frame and sides are all metal. The middle of the back can either be dotted or a normal one. There’s a slight Lumia vibe here, but not in a huge way. The texturing reminds me of the latest ZTE phones and the format of the back somehow brings me to the Meizu handsets.
Nokia C9 Jermaine Smit concept 2
Color choices are well thought out, although a bit on the dark side. I seem to have spotted a switch at the lower back, possibly used to remove the back shell and access the battery. The format is quite slim and narrow compared to other modern phones. The LG Nexus 5X also comes to mind a bit.  Specs? Well, a kickass camera would have to be included, plus a big battery, typical for a Nokia.

LG G5 Gets Rendered by DBS Design, Inspired by LG G Edge (Video)

The latest rumors have the LG G5 launching a month from now, most likely at MWC 2015, which is way early than the previous flagships. That means it’s also time for even more concepts and renders of the device, such as the ones below.
LG G5 DBS concept 2016 1
Created by DBS Design, these ones show us a smartphone inspired by the LG G Edge handset created by the same designers last fall. The newcomer brings a 5.5 inch IPS Quantum 4K display, runs Android 6.1 and relies on an USB Type C port for connectivity. There’s a fingerprint scanner in the mix, most likely integrated within the back Power button, as rumored.
LG G5 DBS concept 2016 2
It also appears that this LG G5 render keeps its back volume buttons, in spite of the rumors saying they’re going to go to the side. A future Snapdragon 830 CPU is on board, plus 5 GB of RAM and a dual infrared port. The main camera is a 24 megapixel one, while the front camera steps it all the way up to 16 megapixels.
A 5000 mAh removable battery powerups up this product. A bit overkill with the specs right? The design isn’t bad, particularly the rounded edges of the back, feeling like the Note 5 a bit.
